Snapshot of Harpers Ferry (WV)

This exact vantage point of the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers at Harpers Ferry, WV, was once described by Thomas Jefferson as "one of the most stupendous scenes in Nature" and a "scene...worth a voyage across the Atlantic."  Having witnessed the rush of the water and heard its roar firsthand, I cannot help but agree.

Have you visited Harpers Ferry?

  1. Good to know! We only had about 2 hours to spare there as we were on our way back home from Antietam, so a return visit is warranted!
