Ever dreamed of flying from the United States to Europe without having to sell an arm and a leg? Iceland-based airline WOW Air wants to make it happen.
According to an article published four days ago on the Washington Post, Wow Air plans to fly between Boston and Baltimore to Reykjavik for as little as $99 each way, starting March 2015.
Am I the only one jumping for joy at the mere thought of such low prices?!

Saw this, although couldn't hit the $99 price. The prices were still significantly cheaper than normal, though!
ReplyDeleteYeah, most of their $99 ones have already been sold out. I did find 2 tickets in June for Baltimore, MD, to London-Gatwick, but the return tickets were more expensive. Still, like you said, the other prices were a lot less expensive than other airlines!
DeleteI second that idea! Are they gonna last, though? Or is it just a one-time opportunity? Meaning for a limited time frame. One way or another, it's great to have options :)
ReplyDeleteSome of the articles I've read mentioned that it's just an introductory offer, but that after that, rates will still be lower than airlines already making the transatlantic route. I'm more than fine with that! Europe is, at best, a once a year occurrence for us, primarily because flight tickets are astronomical.
DeleteWhat?! That's crazy!! I need to tell my friends about this. Thanks for sharing!! =D

Absolutely! Spreading the travel love. :D
DeleteWow (pun intended)! I would jump all over that fare. Of course we'd have to account for R/T flights between L.A. and Boston, but that would still be an amazing deal! Iceland is at the top of Jave's travel wishlist, so we'll be watching Wow's fares like a hawk. Thanks for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! The article stated that the prices are introductory and will go up, but more competition in the market is bound to lower everyone's prices eventually!
DeleteThat sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
