We'll be flying in on a Friday and leaving around 6pm on Sunday, so we should have some time for sight-seeing before and after the wedding festivities! I'm thinking the Salem coastline will be gorgeous in May...

And we're planning to visit Plimoth Plantation on Sunday before we leave, too. (Hopefully joined by a dear friend!)

Then maybe, just maybe, Mr. Gypsy can get a peek of the Old North Church and the Boston Harbor before we jet back south of the Mason-Dixon.

But more than anything, I will be exceedingly happy to spend time with my relatives, most of whom I hardly see once every one to two years, and to share in the joy of the newlyweds on their special day!

Have you been to New England or Boston? What are some of your favorite sites?
Great news! Boston has always fascinated me with its history and scenery. Hope you will have a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I'm so looking forward to it! I love the South, but there's something so indescribably delicious about New England!
DeleteSounds lovely, hope you have an amazing time :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm wondering whether my Southern accent will morph into a Bostonian tone while I am there. :P
DeleteI went to Boston about 7 years ago and absolutely love the city. There's just so much history there and great food. I really hope to make it back sometime soon. Enjoy your trip!
ReplyDeleteApparently my mother took me to the historical sites when I was a kid (I dimly remember the blue line painted on the sidewalk for the Freedom Trail), but my memories are very vague. I'm ready to rekindle my love for New England and to attempt to show Mr. Gypsy why I am such a huge Red Sox fan!
DeleteI've never been there but I always imagined it to be just like in those TV series that played there like Gilmore Girls and Providence :D Well until I found out that they have been produced in LA like any other US TV series but still, I would love to visit! ;)
ReplyDeleteMost shows and films are never really filmed in its supposed setting! A film came out recently about President Lincoln and all the DC shots were actually filmed in Richmond, VA!
DeleteWe visited Boston last year. So many great sites, but one I hadn't heard of before was the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum which was amazing - so much collected by one woman.

I've never heard about that place. I'll have to google that!
